Becka switched industries and became a Dark Horse overnight. A few years back, she worked in the beauty industry, running a major salon (which coincidentally is a Dark Horse client). Working together over the years with Dark Horse CEO Chase Birky on various accounting projects, it was clear that she would be a huge asset to the firm. Fortunately, given the relationship with the client, he was able to put together a deal to pull her to the Dark (Horse) side.
Since then, she has immersed herself in all things accounting and tax. A quick learner, she has developed a deadly skill set and created a career for herself. What she enjoys most about her work is supporting innovative small businesses on their journey through handling their accounting & tax functions so that they can focus on what they do best.
Four nieces and nephews proudly refer to Becka as their Badass Aunt. Becka was born and raised (and still lives) in Las Vegas, although she had a brief stint in the Bay Area of California nannying and enjoying the outdoors (which were notably greener than Vegas). She eventually found her way back home to Las Vegas, where she spent six years working in the beauty industry. Working at small businesses within the industry has colored her appreciation for supporting those same businesses.
When not crunching the various numbers needing crunching, you can find Becka on FaceTime with said nephews and nieces, deep-diving into all things true crime, partially finishing crossword puzzles, and enjoying time with friends.
